NEW Strong and Steady Workshop!

What are you doing to keep your brain healthy?

Maybe you've never been asked that before or even considered it....

I certainly hadn't until my Grandmother was diagnosed with dementia.

But after she was, the thought of not having my memories, recognizing my loved ones, or knowing myself terrified me and sent me on a mission.

I went on a mission to learn what can be done to keep your brain healthy and sharp for as long as possible!

And guess what I learned?

That one of the most powerful ways to keep your brain sharp (and your heart and body healthy at the same time which is a HUGE plus) is a combination of both physical and mental exercise!

Wanna learn how to do a workout that will help you keep your brain and body healthy and strong for decades to come?

Then join me on Tuesday for the STRONG & STEADY workshop to learn how to:

Do a workout that will get your heart pumping and your...

Ever feel like you just don't have time to exercise? You are definitely not alone on that!

So many people want to exercise but find it hard to make the time for it. And have an EVEN harder time sticking to a routine!

Starting with a small, very achievable goal like 5 minutes of exercise 5 times a week....seems doable right? It TOTALLY is!

Need some inspiration for that 5 minute workout? Check out the video above where I take you through a 5 minute workout!

Wanna boost your mental and physical firepower? Start in the morning!

As we round the corner into 2021 many people have new years resolutions on the brain. Regardless of what's on your list this year, accomplishing any of it depends on you.

Your goals depend on YOU. On how you feel. On your choices. On who and what you believe yourself to be.

So once you've decided on your goals for the year, ask yourself: How does the version of me that has achieved those things show up in life? What are their priorities? What are some key characteristics of their personality that helped them achieve these things?

Because you see my friend, we need to start from that place. As Stephen Covey said: "we need to begin with the end in mind".

And since that is the end result you are wanting to achieve, asking yourself those key questions is a great place to start.

I bet that version of you makes it a point to:

  • keep their body strong a healthy
  • prioritize how they feel on every level of mind, body, and spirit
  • get centered in their best self and show up...

Try this powerful Yoga tool for stress relief!

You've probably heard that Yoga has lots of tools for stress relief right? IT DOES!

But if you are feeling so stressed out that your mind is running a mile a minute and your TO-DO list stretches into next month it can be very difficult to sit and meditate.

I can totally relate to that and so can many of my clients! And if that sounds at all familiar to you too I have a powerful tool to share with you called Lotus Mudra.

                                                                                                                                             ...

3 tips to make self care a lasting habit

So how did the first month of 2020 go for you?

I'll admit it was kind of a weird month for me, but I'm settling into my groove again now which feels great.

If you are like me (and most people LOL) you start the year off with big gusto towards your intentions and then things kinda slow down when routine kicks back in. Sound familiar?

And like for so many people having a consistent exercise, yoga, or meditation practice is often part of the plan each year. Was that the case for you?

If so, here are 3 tips to help you get into the habit of practicing self care more often:

1) Decide how many times a week you want to do the practice and write it in your day planner at the beginning of the week. Note each time you do it throughout the week so you can see if you met your goal by week end.

2) Schedule the sessions into your planner/calendar as a NON-NEGOTIABLE appointment with yourself! You deserve your attention right? YES!!!

3) Set an alarm in your phone to...

Stressed to the max at work?

If so, you are definitely not alone and the truth is that way too many people feel this way!

Chronic stress can wreak havoc on your health and happiness, yet is something that far too many people deal with on a daily basis simply because they don't yet know what to do to ease the burden.

While some stress is helpful to get us up and motivated to take action, if left unchecked, stress can quickly take a toll on your body and your mind.

Take my client Emily for example: who when dealing with major family stress developed lower back issues and sciatica pain. Since it is very common for problems to manifest as physical symptoms it was essential that we integrated relaxation techniques plus stretches and exercises to help her feel like herself again and get out of pain. And thankfully she did!

Far too many people wait until they are in pain or are super stressed to take action because they think they just don't have the time, know how, or...
